For the curious
We usually think of the body as chemistry: food, hormones, medicines. It is also electricity, light, water and rhythm. This page is for anyone who wants to understand how I look at that side of you.
What science already measures
None of this is speculation. It is measured every day in hospitals and laboratories.
Every heartbeat is an electrical wave, strong enough to be recorded on the skin. That is what an ECG reads.
Thoughts, sleep and calm show up as different brain-wave frequencies. That is what an EEG reads.
Each cell keeps a voltage across its membrane. When that charge changes, the cell behaves differently.
Research on regeneration shows that patterns of voltage help tell tissues what shape to grow into.
Slow breathing makes heart rhythm more regular and coherent, and moves the nervous system towards rest.
Morning light sets the clock genes in almost every cell. Their discovery won the 2017 Nobel Prize.
Water, light and sound
Most of the molecules in your body are water. Researchers such as Gerald Pollack describe how water near the body’s surfaces can take a more ordered, charged form, and how light, warmth and movement support it. It is an active field of research, and a beautiful way to understand why hydration is more than drinking enough.
Light is information for the body. Morning sunlight tells the cells when it is day; bright screens at night tell them the opposite. Sound works through the body too: slow, low tones and humming stimulate the vagus nerve, the main nerve of rest and repair.
Frequency and resonance
Everything in the body oscillates: the heart, the breath, the brain, each cell. Health looks like rhythms that are coherent with each other. Stress, long-held emotions, toxins and an exhausted terrain look like rhythms that no longer fit together.
I work from a model in which information comes before form: what a person carries (a loss, a fear, a pattern from the family, a heavy environment) shows up as information before it shows up in the body. Information-field analysis is a way of looking for those patterns and for what they are connected to, and then working with them.
To be clear: this is a model for reflection and harmonisation, not a medical test. It does not diagnose, and it is always combined with the rest of the work: nourishment, the nervous system, emotions, and your medical care.
